Review:

I was lucky to get an Advanced Readers Copy from the author (through a giveaway) and seriously made me so happy because Chanda Hahn is one of my favorite authors and I was so excited to get this.

I loved her other books, The Unenchanted series and the Iron Butterfly Trilogy. I haven’t read Underland yet, I want to get it! and now I love LOST GIRL. I can’t wait for book two to come out in 2017

LOST GIRL was full of action and romance and witty lines from a certain ‘fairy’ with a short temper. I honestly love how Chanda Hahn had created this peter pan retelling.

While reading this it had brought back so MANY memories of my love for PETER PAN (both cartoon and non-cartoon + the movie with Robin Williams as adult peter). But anyways, it had brought back so many memories and I was crying so hard because this book gave me the feels. And I am so happy to own it. Since I had the ARC of it I am going to buy the novel soon (hopefully) and read that and then do another review if there were any BIG changes from ARC to final copy. I’m happy to re-read this. I am not complainging XD

Characters: Wendy- She was actually pretty brave in a lot of scenes but she was also really scared. Her whole life she was told she was crazy and she can’t see Shadows and then BOOM she’s not crazy. It’s a lot to take in.

Peter- Oh boy! where do I start? he was perfection literally. Perfection. Every line he had was perfect and everything he did for Wendy was because he thought she was someone he once tried to save (only if you knew, buddy). I was swooning over him since page one. It was gonna happen.

Tink- I loved her temper, she was soooo sarcastic and funny and even though she won’t EVER admit it (Maybe she will, who knows) I think Tink likes Wendy. They would make really great friends. I feel like they even each other out.

Jae- *smirks* I loved him too. So, you know my rule. I can’t have the character that’s TAKEN (he’s not really taken, I guess, but Peter) so I have the next best one. I want Jae. I mean, I’m a little mad at what he did when trying to train Wendy . . . but what can you do? But Jae was awesome. I loved him and even though a few things happen I hope to see A LOT more of him in book 2.

Teddy- That boy has me confused. Someone needs to teach him a lesson though.

John- the step-bro who is a nerdy gamer and is playing with my lost boys. John was awesome. Even though we didn’t see him as much as I wanted.

I CAN’T THINK OF ANY OTHER CHARACTERS!!!!!!

below I’m going to put my GOODREADS progress so you can see the emotions, I’m going to highlight it so if you don’t want spoilers or anything (if I even put spoilers . . . . just in case) you’ve been warned. Spoilers Below.

12/08 page 21   6.0% “Eeppps”
12/12 page 47   14.0%

12/14 page 158   49.0%
12/15 page 223   69.0%
12/15 page 224   70.0% “I’ll be honest, I kinda like Jae …. confused by his actions.

Peter is the best though, and even though all of his lines are perfection. Nothing will ever top my Mina + Jared scene in Fable. 😉 <3″

12/15 page 305   95.0% “Update: currently crying my eyes out and feel like my entire soul has been devoured by a shadow and crushed into a million pieces”

In Conclusion, I LOVEEEEDDD it. I will forever be in love with this and I don’t think I could hate ANYTHING written by Chanda Hahn. It’s impossible. I don’t care how old I will be I will always read her novels and obsess over her characters. Especially My MEAGUE.

*squeals!*

Please! if you’ve made it this far into the review go READ LOST GIRL! I swear you won’t regret it! Unless you hate retellings or peter pan . . . It’s not like peter pan though so READ IT! and then DM me on any of my social platforms and talk to me about it! I would love to know what you all think of this gorgeous novel!
