About the Author

Leslie Hauser

I am a YA writer and middle school teacher. I have a B.A. in English from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration. I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and currently reside in Los Angeles, California, with my dog Mr. Darcy. When I’m not living in fictional worlds inside my head, I run all sorts of distances, torture my body at CrossFit, and DVR entirely too many television shows. I dream of one day returning to the Midwest to live on a farm. Or perhaps owning a cookie delivery service.

Are you dressing up as anything this year? If so what? 🙂

Usually I don’t dress up. I tell my students at school that I’m a teacher, and that’s scary enough. LOL.

What is the first costume you remember wearing as a kid?

I remember being Raggedy Ann. My mom made the dress, and she also made a wig out of red yarn.

What would your character dress up as?

Ivy from Chasing Eveline wouldn’t be too excited about Halloween. She would probably wear a band t-shirt and tell people she was in a rock band.

Do you have a favorite Halloween writing snack/candy?

I love candy corn. I like to eat each kernel by color. First the white top, then the orange middle, and finally the yellow bottom. And only the traditional version. I don’t like the chocolate ones. I’m a purist. 🙂

If you could make/take/use any potion what would it be and what for?

I would make a potion that would make me instantly rich. I don’t want to buy fancy cars or homes. I just want to be able to quit my job and work on my writing full-time.

What is your favorite horror movie?

A horror movie to me is one with a giant wave. Like The Perfect Storm. Big waves freak me out.

What was your biggest fear as a child or now?

Spiders have always seemed scary. Roaches scare me, too. In fact, let’s just say I’m not a fan of any kind of bug.

Do you get scared easily?

Yes! I am always the one to jump out of my seat in a movie when we all know something is about to happen.

Do you think you’d be able to survive a zombie apocalypse? If so why?

As long as there were cookies, I’d be fine. Cookies make everything okay.

If you had magic abilities for one day would you use it for good or evil?

For good! I would save all the homeless pets and find them all good homes.

Thank you for being here for my spooky interview series ;P

Thank you for having me. I had a spooktacular time!

I love your replies! and definitely, I will help you save all the animals. I would keep them with me ♥-♥
What was your favorite question/answer, Luv?
